MJ'S DETAILS

The tiny knitting shop in Glenugie specializes in knitting Shetland knitwear. Before knitting, the yarns are washed with seawater in the unique climate of the Aberdeen hinterland, giving them an unusually soft feel—uncommon for Shetland sweaters. This is a very special specialty of Glenugie, which achieves its subtly sporty stitch pattern by knitting on particularly old circular knitting machines.

This sweater was knitted in the round as a "Circulate Knit" without side seams and features natural colors spun into a melange yarn. The wool used in this sweater comes from just three certified sheep farms in Scotland. Undyed and left in its natural state. This sweater is the ideal companion for colder days and perfectly complements your casual outfit. It looks great with corduroy pants or winter chinos from Rota, or simply with jeans made from authentic Japanese denim by Resolute!

This sweater is remarkably similar to the favorite sweater of our style icon, Gianni Agnelli. You’ll see him wearing this sweater in many photos from his ski vacations in St. Moritz.
