The "AL II" trench coat is an icon in the Coherénce collection.

It is based on the classic trench coat, which became a staple of men’s wardrobes between the two world wars. The name “AL” is derived from the French philosopher Albert Camus, who turned the trench coat into an icon in the 1950s and stripped it of its military aura by removing the epaulets.

A coat featuring raglan shoulders, a sleeve gusset, a double-breasted front, and a signature tie belt as its defining characteristics. The double-layered back provides exceptional protection from the rain. Diagonally buttoned pockets complement this extraordinary silhouette. The generous cut with rounded shoulders and the “sloping raglan sleeve cut” creates a silhouette that flows loosely around the body. A detachable collar made of tweed jersey provides warm protection against the cold.

Cotton Gabardine II was used as the new fabric—a Japanese cotton satin that had already been used in earlier military uniforms.

For colder days, the coat can optionally be fitted with a detachable lining. To do so, select the size of the coat.
