Wakouwa is a sub-label of Anatomica that pays homage to sailing culture and is inspired by the vintage sneakers worn by the US Marines. The last shape of these shoes is based on an original from 1938.

This model was particularly popular with Ivy League students and in the Hamptons sailing clubs - former US President John F. Kennedy was a fan of these "deck shoes".
