G. Inglese
Fiore Noce" buttonhole flower - handmade
SKU: GI341012
MJ'S DETAILS
The buttonhole flower or "boutonniere" originated in the 15th century as a distinguishing mark of two rival English noble houses. During the French Revolution, noblemen wore a buttonhole flower on their way to the scaffold to show their fearlessness and Oxford students wore them on the occasion of formal examinations.
Since the beginning of the 19th century, the "boutonniere" has served the so-called dandies as an expression of their idleness. Use the buttonhole flower as a sign of your personal style and you will be making a great statement of good taste.
The "Fiore" buttonhole flowers from G.Inglese stand for cheerfulness and the typical Italian sprezzatura.
